First we put on the shoes of the preparation of peace.
Nothing missing, nothing broken. We step into the day grounded in His peace, not the noise around us.
Then we gird our loins with truth.
We do our best to make sure our thoughts are truthful—not half-truths, not wishes, not fears. We align our actions with His Word, the only reliable guidepost.
Next we put on the breastplate of righteousness.
Scripture speaks of twelve stones representing the twelve tribes of Israel. For us, these stones also remind us of our alliances—the relationships God has placed in our lives. These are the people who walk with us as we carry our callings and commissions forward.
Then we lift the shield of faith.
These are the promises we choose to believe when lies surround us:
No weapon formed against me will prosper.
Everything I put my hand to will prosper.
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
The sword of the Spirit is our prophetic voice.
We call things that are not as though they were. We do not speak the obstacles or rehearse toxic realities. Instead, we see the end from the beginning and speak it quietly and confidently.
Finally we place on our heads the helmet of salvation—the helmet of Yahshua, whose name means victory and deliverance.
Now we are dressed.
Today is Day 68.
It is a Shin day as we move backward through the DNA of the universe, the Hebrew Alef-Beit.
Shin is the day of life-giving fire, and also the day of purging, pruning, and refining.
The Shekinah Glory and Shalom side by side.
It is also a Son day—
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
REST
TRUST
RECEIVE
CONCEIVE
DELIVER.
Today is a next smallest doable step day.
Ask, and He will reveal the simple step for today.
It is also an emotional day, so we meditate on those we love most and intentionally water the relationships closest to us. Otherwise the stress and speed of the day can dominate our emotions and cloud our ability to see clearly and discern wisely.
Today is a day of perfected love, which means fear has been banished.
It is a compassion day—
remembering that teachers teach, but fathers teach love and stay.
So today we extend grace to teammates, grace to partners, and even grace toward relationships from the past that we may have written off.
An answer may come at just the right time from a place where we were once wounded and still carry a scar.
Walk in peace today, my friend.
The armor is on.
